Why you should also become a Schnurebegg
About us
We are the Young Guard of the Schnurebegge, a men's clique. We've been around since 1936, and of course we're all boys. But we are not just a men's group out of tradition, we also live it.
It is self-evident that we, as a carnival group, put emphasis on music AND friendship. There's a reason why they say: "Once a Schnurebegg, always a Schnurebegg".
Everything that has to do with the carnival is determined by us young people, including the selection of the theme, the painting of the masks and the wig tying.
Throughout the year we have very different events. Take a look at our schedule.
During our annual rehearsal weekend, we will decide on the theme for next year's carnival and combine music with a lot of fun activities.
Our instructors are experienced, musically very gifted, partly external and also pedagogically very good.
If you don't know how to play the piccolo or play the drums, you'll be in the lead group during carnival. At carnival, we young people are accompanied and looked after by adults, our "Bärefiehrer" ("bear leaders"). Every year we have a great lantern and a great requisite, which we always make together before carnival. You can see what that looks like here: Around carnival.
You see, there's always something going on with us. You can discover more here: What's going on? With us, you'll feel at home in no time.
